Display language, cookies, and your data
How to switch the display language, what stays in Japanese anyway, how cookie consent works, and where to send a request to delete data.

The display language can be set to Japanese or English. Notification email cannot: it arrives in Japanese whichever language you have chosen. Cookie consent is one banner covering Google Analytics, it can be withdrawn from "Cookie settings" in the footer, and the record of your choice expires after 180 days. Requests to delete data go to tokiawase@classact.co.jp.
Japanese and English are the two options
Those two are the only languages available. Every URL carries a language prefix: Japanese pages start with /ja and English pages with /en. Japanese is the default.
While you are signed in, switch from "Display language" in the header. The screen changes on the spot, and the choice is written to your account settings at the same time.
You can also set it from "Account settings" in the sidebar. The three options there are "Use browser setting", "Japanese", and "English", and "Use browser setting" is the default. It resolves to English only when your browser language begins with en; everything else resolves to Japanese.
Notification email and weekday labels stay in Japanese
Confirmations, reminders, and requests to respond all have their subject and body fixed in Japanese, and none of them look at the language the recipient has chosen. Weekday labels behave the same way: with the screen in English they are still written as 日, 月, 火 and so on.
| Item | With the screen in English | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| App screens (menus and buttons) | Translated | The wording is kept as a matching pair of Japanese and English files |
| Articles on the public site | English only where an English version exists | Articles without one stay in Japanese |
| Confirmation, reminder, and response-request email | Stays in Japanese | There is no setting that changes email alone |
| Weekday labels on screen | Stay in Japanese | The ○ / △ / × marks used in a poll stay as marks too |
Which time zone a time is displayed in differs from screen to screen. The rule for each one is set out in "When a Tokiawase link arrives".
Help article pages carry no language switch
To change language from an article, go back to the help listing. The switch is shown only on listing-side pages: the home page, the blog, search, pricing, and the like.
The consent banner covers Google Analytics and nothing else
The banner headed "About cookies" asks about a single thing, consent to site analytics through Google Analytics. Before you have consented, and after you have rejected, the Google tag itself is never loaded.
Choosing "Reject" does not stop the cookies used for signing in, for remembering the display language, and for CSRF protection. Those are needed for the service to work and are not part of what consent covers.
There are no per-category choices either — no essential, functional, analytics, and advertising split — and no measurement is carried out for advertising purposes.
Pressing "Reject" stops anything further from being sent, then deletes the cookies whose names begin with _ga, _gid, _gat, and _gac_, along with the matching entries in browser storage. The page reloads by itself only when you change from consent to rejection.
The banner is deferred on purpose: it appears three seconds in, or once the browser is idle, so not seeing it the instant a page opens is expected. Quick schedule, poll, and booking pages are outside the scope of measurement, and the banner does not appear on them at all.
Consent can be withdrawn from "Cookie settings" in the footer at any time
- Open "Cookie settings" in the footer of the home page, the blog, or a legal page.
- Read the current state — accepted, rejected, or not yet chosen — under "Analytics settings".
- If you have consented, press "Withdraw consent". If you have not chosen yet, press "Accept" or "Reject".
The recommended environment is the latest major browsers
What the site says about the operating environment is one line, in "Notice based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions": "We recommend the latest versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) and a stable internet connection." There is no list of supported versions.
Deletion requests go to tokiawase@classact.co.jp
For an answer given to a Quick schedule, with no account involved, what is stored is the display name, the comment, the answer itself (yes, maybe, no, and the like), the timestamps, and a hash of the token used to edit that answer. There is no field asking for an email address and no column to store one in. Access logs are separate from this, and are governed by the Privacy policy.
- A calendar connection can be disconnected from "Integrations", and "Delete connection data" removes the stored connection details as well.
- Deletion of anything else is handled on request, at tokiawase@classact.co.jp.
- Requests are acted on after identity confirmation, and the data is deleted or anonymised except where law, audit, or the prevention of misuse requires it to be kept.
- Audit logs, security logs, and incident investigation logs are kept for as long as internal controls and legal obligations require.
There is no operation on screen for closing your own account. Taking a member out of an organisation is covered in "Inviting members and managing your organisation", and anything specific to your own situation can go through Contact.
